Manchester Environmental Education Network

'Our mission is to integrate into formal education and lifelong learning the knowledge, values and skills needed for a sustainable way of life through networking and support.'

Manchester Environmental Education Network, or "MEEN" as it is more commonly known, is dedicated to supporting teachers, organisations and individuals working to promote environmental education and Education for Sustainability. To achieve this we offer opportunities for people to share good practice, run training events and INSET, provide contacts and information and encourage partnership working.

New Schools' Programme : Manchester's Climate Change Champions

MEEN is inviting all Manchester's schools to participate in its new Climate Change Champions programme. The aim is to help all of us, adults and young people to learn more about Climate Change, save greenhouse gases, energy and money, whilst helping secure a future for the planet.

Our schools section hosts a catalogue of curriculum resources, including lesson plans, activities and guides for teachers encouraging the inclusion of sustainability in the curriculum.  Our website also hosts the materials and resources from the former sustainable schools site.
