The site has disabled parking next to the main facilities which includes the cafe, toilets and a picnic area, all of which are wheelchair accessible. Behind these facilities is the Forest Explorers hut and an accessible classroom with no fixed seating.
The Forest Explorers run a wide range of outdoor hands on educational programmes for school groups. With suitable notice they will tailor make programmes to suit the needs of the group.
For self-led visits there are numerous trails which cater for different people with different needs including a Gruffalo trail which is wide and flat but also an earthen path smooth enough for wheelchairs. However it is hoped that a new visitor centre with an accessible trail will be put in place in the near future.
