The Rec Park Grove

Published on 26th February 2016

The Rec park in Moss Side

The Rec park now has thirty fruit trees planted in an enclosed area which it is hoped will become a community garden. Hosted by the Hideaway Youth project a group planted their aspirations and hopes for the park and the future under the trees, with the aim of their aspirations growing with the trees.

Most participants had never planted a tree before,  but one, who knew exactly what to do, was a part of her school gardening club and able to share her knowledge and skills with her family.
