Obituary for Deyika Nzeribe 1966 - 2016
Deyika had been on the MEEN board since June 2013 and shared the valuable experience he had as Director of the Development Education Project and manager of the NW Sustainable Schools project.
Much more than this he shared with us his dedication to environmental justice and as a kind, warm and thoughtful person walked his talk with grace.
He will be missed not just for his great ability to listen and to reflect but for his inspiration. He had a way of talking through ideas that allowed exciting concepts to emerge and was always generous with his ideas, his time and his unfailingly constructive words.
As someone who worked tirelessly for what he believed to be right and important he leaves a huge gap in our community but maybe, as we grieve, we can also reflect on and appreciate all that he acheived.
We will miss him.
