MEEN's Autumn Network meeting and 2021 AGM - Decarbonising schools

MEEN's Autumn Network meeting and AGM is being held on 11th November 2021 from 3.45-5.30pm. With COP 26 coming to its close, this event, which will be held on Zoom, we will be focusing on decarbonising schools and local authorities. 

We will have four key speakers: 

1) Salix Finance Ltd. provides Government funding to the public sector, including schools to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and lower energy bills.  There will be a presentation on what they do and the processes involved in accessing such funding.

2) Transform Our World's new Climate Change Action Planner: we will explore a new on-line resource to help your school become zero carbon.

3) Bury Council's climate change officer will share with us one Local Authorities journey towards zero carbon.

4) MEEN will bring COP26 to Greater Manchester as our Chair Lydia Meryll shares her experience of the conference and brings the voice of youth to the session.
