Eco Schools Support and Events
We run an Eco Coordinator’s Network for school staff from across Greater Manchester. This network meets twice a year. It is a twilight session hosted by a different school. The objective is to cover a range of issues, as requested by the Eco Coordinators, where school staff can share good practice, explore different themes and meet people who can give them support.
If you would like to be involved in the Eco Coordinator’s Network either email MEEN to be put on the mailing list, visit our events page or the latest edition of Beehive.
MEEN can visit schools to give support and advice on the Eco Schools programme and has run various INSET and CPD training for school staff as requested.
We also organise intergenerational conferences on a range of environmental issues bringing people of all ages together to learn from each other, including pupils, teachers, experts, students, parents and local activists. These conferences have included themes such as climate change, soils and the different Eco Schools topics and can help your school learn about, or contribute to, a wider field of knowledge.
For all the details about the Eco Schools programme go to the Eco Schools website here or for details on MEEN's training opportunities contact Raichael Lock at coordinator@meen.org.uk.
