What do they do?

The Field Studies Council (FSC) is a pioneering educational charity committed to bringing environmental understanding to all. They offer courses for pupils and teachers from KS2 to A Level, including residential courses, day courses and excursions, geography coursework visits and more.

What support is offered to Schools?

They offer residential and non-residential field trips for both secondary and primary schools. The also run international outreach training projects, research programmes, information and publication services and wide range of professional training and leisure courses. They provide informative and enjoyable opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to discover, explore, be inspired by, and understand the natural environment. They also run an Eco-action programme.

Example of activities

Residential trips may feature team building, problem solving, conservation and environmental awareness activities, geography, biology or science fieldwork, orienteering.
