Each floor is accessible to wheelchairs and those with low mobility there is an accessible lift for each exhibition floor. Classrooms are spacious and can be accessed easily by wheelchairs. The education department can provide data loggers and other resources suitable for children with learning difficulties.
The museum can also provide different coloured overlayswhich can be put over the text displays and a number of wheelchairs for people with low mobility. They have designed an application that can be uploaded onto a smart phone call living worlds which gives a virtual tour of the living worlds exhibition. They also provide a descriptive tour for those with visual impairments.
