Launch of the Carbon Classroom 2015

Published on 18th June 2015

The Carbon Classroom 2015 has been launched and young people from some of Manchester's schools Eco teams have been busy teaching adults in the Arndale Centre.

Crumpsall Lane Primary and Bowker Vale Primary pupils ran sessions on the opening day and today (18th June) St Philip's Primary, St Peter's High, Armitage Primary and Abbott Primary have all been busy.

The pupils' enthusiasm and willingness to talk to the general public about this complex issue has been phenomenal. It takes confidence and honesty and some of the pupils have overcome their shyness and boldly stepped forward, some have had to overcome the feeling of not knowing enough about their subject but found themselves sharing what they do know with people in an effort to help look after the planet we share.

Tomorrow (Friday 19th June) is the final day for you to come down to learn and support young people in their efforts to combat climate change.
