What do they do?

A free environmental education programme for all schools, colleges and nurseries in England, empowering children and young people to take positive action for nature funded by the Department for Education.  All the education sites in England would make an area twice the size of Birmingham, so if we all made one small change for nature in our settings, collectively we'd make a huge impact on nature in our local areas and across the country!

What support is offered to schools?

The Nature Park offers curriculum linked resources, activities and guidance to support young people and settings to explore their site, celebrate the nature they already have and ways to record, monitor and change the biodiversity on the site. The Nature Park provides practical actions and activities which can also support Climate Action Plans. As the North West regional team, we can support clusters and networks of teachers and practitioners in trying and exploring the Nature Park resources that are right for your setting.
