What do they do?
Climate Ambassadors offers free support to education settings on climate action planning. It is a nationwide programme, funded by the Department for Education, coordinated in the northwest by Manchester Met. We also work with key national support programmes, like National Education Nature Park and Let's Go Zero, as well as a range of local and regional projects and initiatives to ensure schools get the right support for their needs and ambitions.
What do they offer schools?
Free support from a trained climate ambassador to develop and implement a climate action plan. This can include assessing your school's carbon footprint, building on existing initiatives, and identifying strategic areas of focus. According to your school's priorities and progress, the support can cover all, or any one of, the key areas of a climate action plan (decarbonisation, biodiversity, adaptation & resilience, and education & skills).
