What do they do?
Eureka! is about playing and learning. They are a fun, interactive children’s museum and educational charity based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, where children play to learn and grown-ups learn to play.
What support is offered to Schools?
Eureka! The National Children's Museum is designed especially for children aged 0-11 with exciting cross curricular galleries and innovative learning journeys. All of the exhibits and programmes are hands-on, minds-on, sparking creativity, active enquiry and inspiring children to discover and learn through play.
Example of activities
Our planet is a big place but in the Our Global Garden gallery you travel the world from the Artic to the jungle in a short space of time. Take a tour of six unique environments where you'll meet different animals large and small, compare the habitat's plants and animals, discover alternative sources of energy, make the wind blow and even build an igloo.
