What do they do?

They provide inspiring opportunities for young people to enjoy and value the Peak District National Park; enable all to engage with the natural environment through direct experience;  support and encourage people to secure a sustainable future for the Peak District National Park, and work in partnership to communicate key message.

What support is offered to Schools?

The Learning and Discovery Team provide high quality education services providing teacher resources, professional training courses and activities for young people including: pond dipping, earth walk, environmental art, survival skills, explore the world of Boggarts, sensory activities.

Example of activities

Day visits for schools in Macclesfield Forest hunting for the Gruffalo; Rocks and Soils at Longdendale Environmental Education Centre.
