What do they do?

MEEN offers opportunities for people involved in Education for Sustainability to share good practice. They run training events, deliver INSET, run projects, provide contacts and information and encourage partnership working.

What support is offered to Schools?

MEEN runs the Greater Manchester ESD Forum for educators across Greater Manchester, we provide twilight sessions and INSET relating to making schools more sustainable and the Eco Schools programme. MEEN also delivers lessons and session to classes, Eco Committees, governors, other schools staff and parents. We also engage schools in a variety of projects relating to sustainability.

Example of activities

MEEN has worked with schools on projects such as the Carbon Classroom where young people taught adults about climate change.
