What do they do?

Quarry Bank tells the story of the early Industrial revolution; it is a place of striking contrasts between industry and nature. Through facilitated workshops and tours, students can explore our unique site. Set alongside the River Bolin and surrounded by woodland, Quarry Bank provides a distinctive setting for environmental workshops such as river studies, map reading and mini beast hunts. At the heart of the site, the mill remains fully operational, allowing students to experience first-hand the power and noise of its working machinery through a guided tour.

What do they offer to schools?

We offer facilitated tours and workshops which must be booked in advance. Please be aware that availability is limited and sessions are often fully booked up to six months in advance, therefore we recommend booking as early as possible.
We are unable to accommodate groups of self-led students. However, we can make reasonable adjustments and tailor arrangements to meet the needs of SEND groups. Please contact us in advance to discuss your requirements.
