Smithhills Open Farm

What do they do?

It is a working farm with a range of animals including cows, sheep, pigs and donkeys. They also have events, a cafe, an adventure playground and bouncy castle, among their range of features.

What support is offered to Schools?

As members of Farms for Schools, they can provide links for EYFS, KS1 and KS2. The experience is very hands-on, from milking the cows to donkey riding. Schools are encouraged to request their needs before the visit.

Schools are welcome to bring their own packed lunch as they have clean areas both inside and outside where they can eat.
