What do they do?

A small working hall farm in the Alden valley. The farm uses organic principles and has won prizes for conservation, innovation and technology. It is a small, mixed farm producing local food and offering educational visits for schools, including learning about sustainable farming methods and renewable energy. It runs visits for primary and secondary schools and reluctant learners.

What support is offered to schools?

Pupils can learn about pigs, sheep, cows and hens, there is a soil project and grassland project. They also run a range of environmental activities. They offer full day and half day experiences and schools may be able to visit free of charge. Click here for information about school visits.
